REFERENCE: Memo for DDA fm ExDir, dtd 7 Mar 88, Same Subject
1. The attached data, reflecting contracting activity for
fiscal year (FY) 1988 for your respective component, is provided in
support of the continuing effort to improve competition in Agency
procurements.
2. A new procurement method coding system was implemented in
FY 1988 to align this Agency with the rest of the Federal
Government, and much of the dramatic increase in competitive awards
must be attributed to this change. However, you are to be commended
for your increased awareness of the need for competition and your
participation in this effort which brought about a successful
conclusion to FY 1988.
3. The Office of LogitAcs-will continue to provide you with
quarterly progress reports as they become ava/lable..
