National Intelligence Estimates regularly provide
Council members with agreed forecasts of the policies
and capabilities of foreign countries. In addition,
the Central Intelligence Agency prepares for the
members of the Council a daily intelligence summary.
The Director of Central Intelligence presents at
every Council meeting an analysis of current intelli-
gence, on the basis of which policy recommendations
are often formulated.
