MEMORANDUM FOR: Legal Counsel
SUBJECT: Brief on Moscow Meetings of
November 1957
In accordance with your request of 12 January 1959,
a copy of The Meetings of Communist Party Leaders in
Moscow, 14-19 November 1957, is attached for transmittal
to Mr. Mandel, of the Senate's Internal Security Subcom-
mittee. Although Mr. Mandel is cognizant of the existence
of this brief as the CSCI designation has
been removed from this copy because CSCI's are ordinarily
not sent outside the security components of the IAC agencies.
There is no change in the text, however. This brief was
previously cleared for use by USIA as a basis for an
unattributed publication of that Agency; therefore there is
no security problem in passing it to Mr. Mandel.
