tone method both shaking and elution will result in only
90% recovery of the citric acid whereas by elution with
chloroform 95-9(% of the added material can be re-
covered. The differences between the Individual analy-
sea are smaller in case of clution with chloroform thati
in the case of the methods applying petrolether, and,
in agreement with this the square of the error of the
