Absorption spectra, effects of changes in reagent
composMon, and the effect of pli of the sample solu-
tion were determined for the color reactions of di-
cyandiamide, guanidine. and biguanide with the rea-
gent sodium nit roprusside - pota 9 alum ferricyanide-
sodium hydroxide. Guanidine and biguanlde were de-
termined within I to to yg/ml and dicyandiamide
within 5 to 50 pg/ml witb a relative error of 1 to 2%.
