SUBJECT: Your Chicago Trip, 20-21 September
1. Attached is a proposed agenda for your trip
to Chicago to address the Chicago Committee of the
Council on Foreign Relations on 20 September and the
Chicago Chapter of the Princeton Club on 21 September.
2. The DCI visited Chicago in October 1978. He
met with both Editorial Boards and appeared on "Noon
Break," a live TV talk show. Since nearly a year will
have passed between your two visits, I believe another
visit along the same lines would be beneficial. We
have made no commitments in Chicago beyond the lunch
speeches, nor have we made any overtures to the
Editorial Boards awaiting your approval.
