Had The Post the professionalism to check its facts with the agency before writing its editorial, it would have learned that the agency made an in- tensive effort in the 1970s to identify and contact any persons who might have been unwitting subjects of drug testing programs in which the agency had been involved. Indeed, on page 19 of the Supreme Court's decision CIA v. Sims (the decision that prompted The 'Post's editorial), the court in' a foot- note referred to the agency's efforts in this. regard' while.
