SUBJECT: Quarterly Covert Action Review Request
On 17 June, Dave Holliday called to relay Sven Holmes'
request for a change in the times and dates of the Quarterly
Covert Action review. Holmes wants to spend more time
examining each program because he anticipates a long period
when the Committee will not be able to hold reviews due to
recesses, campaigns, etc. He also believes the additional time
will help George Tenet get up to speed on the programs. Sven
proposes the following schedule with all meetings to begin at
0830:
Wednesday 22 June--Near East
Friday 24 June--Latin America
Wednesday 29 June--Africa
Friday 1 July--PPS and others as needed.
The time set aside for each day would depend on the amount
of material to be covered and the extent of staff questions.
