MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Weekly Meeting withthe_._SSCI
Senior Staff,23Msy_1:988_2,
The meeting was held in SHOB-211 at 1600. Sven Holmes, Jim
Dykstra, and Keith Hall attended for the SSCI. John Helgerson,
attended for OCA. The following
issues were discussed.
Holmes asked about the status of Senator Kerry's
request and requested a reply this
week. (Action:
Holmes asked about the status of the Agency's reply to
the Boren/Cohen letter on elections. D/OCA replied
that it would be ready for the DCI's review on Tuesday.
There was a brief discussion of the CSPIS-related
documents the SSCI had requested.
D/OCA raised concern that the
Department of State was denigrating his new office
with the Foreign Relations and Government Operations
Committees. Hall advised that the SSCI not do
anything until it appeared this was becoming a serious
problem.
Holmes inquired about the Committee's request for a
I March 1988 NID article on a mobile missile launcher.
