MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT: Meeting with GAO Representatives on Lavi Aircraft
On Tuesday, 29 November 1988, a meeting was held in Room
7B02 to discuss Israel's cancellation of its Lavi fighter
aircraft. The purpose of this meeting was to answer certain
questions from GAO regarding the cancellation of this
aircraft by Israel. The six topics of interest which were
discussed are attached.
The briefing was conducted by CIA representatives from
the Directorate of Intelligence. They were OSWR,
and NESA. Representatives from GAO were
Joseph P. Raffa, Edward D. Kennedy and A.H. Huntington, III.
and the undersigned also attended the
briefing. The impression given by the GAO representatives
was that the briefing had been completed to their
satisfaction.
