1. The following is a list of your scheduled engagements
with the Congress for the month of July. Most are sandwiched
into a one-week period because of the numerous Congressional
recesses.
7 July Breakfast hosted by the House Foreign

12 July Host breakfast for Representative Bob Kastenmeier

12 July Meeting with Senators Boren and Cohen

13 July Meeting with Representatives Stokes and Hyde

2. Because of the recesses, August-will be a very light
month (nothing scheduled so far). I will schedule another round
of meetings in September to be sure we. catch the important
players before the expected adjournment in early October.
3. For your information, we have scheduled the following
additional Congressional engagements for the Deputy Director:
12 July Testimony before House Armed Services Committee
10:00 re Soviet military reform
14 July Address breakfast hosted by Representative Hamilton
8:00 re results of Soviet Party ,Conference and
implications for Soviet policy.
