SUBJECT: Weekly Activity Report for the DCI/DDCI
Fritz:
Each new player reacts the same way you have
to the weekly Reports, but each time I have tried
to do away with them, someone--Casey, Webster or
(most recently) Gates--says that they like them.
Casey read them avidly, they serve an educational
purpose for Webster, and Gates uses them as a
double-check for what's going on here.
I think your two-pager is about right. (We
norms-lly select one or two NIC items for inclusion
in our weekly summary but send the complete
package forward to the DCI.)

Dave Gries and I both feel that this report,
itself much sharpened and shortened over what we
used to provide, still does not deserve the atten-
tion of the DCI and the DDCI. Shouldn't we regroup
and figure out what, if any, of this kind of thing
they really need to know? We've talked to
about the DDI's report and find he feels 25X1
e same way.
