S. Government and Recent Political Violence in E1 Salvador Confirming a telephone conversation 27 September 1984 with Mr. Daniel Finn, co-coordinator of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) staff working group on political violence in E1 Salvador, Chairman Goldwater will be polling the SSCI Members early next week with regard to making public the Executive Summary of the SSCI report on political violence in E1 Salvador. The Chairman is being urged by a number of Senators, including Senators Inouye and Huddleston, to make it public. Mr. Finn said that the Members would be polled to give approval pending minor technical changes. Mr. Finn explained that the turn-around time would probably be 24 hours. This is just a "heads up" that the review suggested in the ADCI's letter to Chairman Goldwater (attached) will be requested next week.
