Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2010/07/01: CIA-RDP90-00552R000201040039-4 WASHINGTON TIMES 3 AUGUST 1982 Marilyn Monroe slain: private eye LOS ANGELES - A private investigator yesterday offered a $10,000 reward for Marilyn Monroe's diary to prove the sex goddess was murdered to stop her from exposing a CIA plot to kill Fidel Castro. Milo Speriglio, director of the 76-year-old Nick Har- ris detective agency, said after spending more than a decade investigating Miss Monroe's death, "I can say with 1,000 percent accuracy that she was murdered:' Speriglio said the "red diary" would prove Miss Mon- roe did not commit suicide 20 years ago this Thursday. Instead, he said, the 36-year-old blonde was injected with drugs by a "dissident" faction of the CIA to keep her from holding a news conference she had planned for the next day to disclose the plot to kill Castro. A CIA spokesman in Washington said the story of the alleged murder plot was "absolutely false, totally absurd:' Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2010/07/01: CIA-RDP90-00552R000201040039-4
