A private investigator in Los An-
geles yesterday offered a $10,000 re-
ward for Marilyn Monroe's diary
to prove she was murdered to stop.
her from exposing a CIA plot to kill
Fidel Castro.
Milo Speriglio, director of the
76-year-old Nick Harris Detective
Agency, said after spending more
than a decade investigating Mon-
.roe's death, "I can say with 1,000
percent accuracy that she was mur-
dered."
But Theodore Curfee, the cor-
oner when Monroe died, was quoted
by the Torrance, Calif., Daily
Breeze as saying, "The case is
closed. If (someone) doesWt believe
it was suicide, it's a free country."
Speriglio said the "red diary"
would prove Monroe did not com-
mit suicide, as believed, 20 years
.,ago this Thursday.
A CIA spokesman in Washington
said the story of the alleged murder
plot, was "absolutely false, totally
absurd."
