SUBJECT: List of Positions Requiring Military-Unique Skills
1. Per your request, we have contacted the Intelligence Community (IC)
agencies regarding unique skills which retired military officers possess and
are needed in the intelligence field. The following is a list of positions
which IC agencies have indicated would be best filled by retired military
officers but, because of the dual compensation limitation and pay cap
considerations, cannot be hired. In most cases, these positions are in the
"critical shortage" category. Where it is not immediately apparent, examples
of areas in which military experience is critical to the job are given. Of
particular importance to the examination of this issue are the conditions
described in Notes 1 and 2.
