SUBJECT: Office of Security Significant Activities
Week of 22 - 28 September 1988
1. This memorandum is for information only.
2. The activities of the Office of Security (OS) during
the week of 22 - 28 September 1988 were highlighted by the
following items:
*b. On 21 and 22 September 1988,
hosted a two-day symposium for members of
the Intelligence Community's Technical Surveillance
Countermeasures Committee
*c. Representatives from the Office of Security met
with members of the Office of Current Production and
Analytical Support (CPAS) to examine the physical security
requirements for dissemination of such SCI documents as the
National Intelligence Daily via the Electronic
Dissemination System (EDS). EDS is being developed by CPAS
to expedite the electronic transmission of finished
intelligence products to the White House, Pentagon, and the

e. The Office of Security will participate in the
development of an Agency counterintelligence/security
awareness briefing program. Input for this effort will be
25X1 provided by the FBI, CIC, DI, OSO, OTS,

h. An Agency staff employee, who appeared to be
suffering a heart attack, was provided emergency assistance
by OS Security Duty Office personnel. The employee
received intitial treatment from the Office of Medical
25X1 Service and was subsequently taken to Fairfax Hospital.
