Dear
It was a pleasure meeting and talking with you Monday. Ken asked that
I review the following items and respond directly to you.
(1) Determine whether your people could access AP 5.0 in a VSAM
environment at our Alexandria Office.
(2) Define the budgetary calls that are planned for Purchasing 2.0;
ie, commitments - obligations - expenses.
(3)
Find out if the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) used by the FBI
and HUD in AP 3.4 are standard MSA subroutines. If so, will
they be available in 5.0?
(4) Explore using line items as a method for tracking cost type
contracts in the Purchasing System.
(5)
Examine the complexities associated with providing a realtime
print capability within the Purchasing System.
(6) Discuss the Purchasing - Mfg - Purchasing interface requirements
with Ladd Shinn to be certain he has not overscoped the effort.
I plan on visiting TRW on 9/29. I will be available to meet with you
