Progress Report of Tasks Assigned by the DCl/DDCI: No tasks assigned during this reporting period. 2. Items or Events of Major Interest that have Occurred During the Preceding Week: 25X 1 25X1 25X1 25X1 c. Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, negotiated a $7,900 firm-fixed-price purchase order on behalf of the Office of Training and Education with Information Center Services. This agreement provides for the presentation of a two day seminar entitled "Discovering the Benefits of Project Management." d. On 8 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, issued Invitation for Bids (IFB) for renovations to room 1E60 in the Original Headquarters Building. The IFB was provided to five contractors and it requires bids to be submitted by 19 August 1988. The estimated price range for the work is between $25,000 and $100,000. The pre-bid site visit was held on 10 August to clarify issues raised at the site visit. On 8 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, completed negotiations with Gilles & Cotting, Inc., on six proposals for miscellaneous changes to the OTS renovations contract. The negotiated fixed price is $7,517.00. The contract modification 25X1 was issued on 12 August 1988. f. On 9 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, opened bids for the installation of a Sprinkler System (Risers and Mains) for the Original Headquarters Building. The lowest bidder was Pierce Associates, Inc., who submitted a bid for $355,600 with the second lowest bid $571,777. Because the bid price submitted by Pierce was significantly lower than the other bids, Pierce Associates is being requested to verify that their bid is correct. Upon verification of their bid, Pierce will be awarded a firm-fixed-price contract to perform the required work. This project is part of the Headquarters Backfill Program to renovate the Original 25X1 Headquarters Building. g. On 9 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, held a pre-bid site visit for Invitation for Bids (Child Day Care Center Construction). Representatives from five of the nine companies inspected the site with bids due 25 August 1988. The estimated price range for the construction is $1,000,000 to 25X1 $5,000,000. 25X1 25X1 h. On 10 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, opened bids for the Asbestos Removal from Rooms GC03 and 1D04 in the Original Headquarters Building. Bids were received from five contractors. The lowest priced, responsive and responsible bidder was Marcor of DC, Inc., who submitted a bid for $120,384. Marcor will be awarded a firm-fixed-price contract to perform the required work. This project is part of the Headquarters Backfill Program to renovate the Original Headquarters Building. i. On 10 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, issued a contract to Summer Consultants, Inc., for Supplemental Architectural and Engineering (A-E) Series. The company was chosen based on the results of a recent competitive A-E selection process. The firm will provide support to FMD's Engineering Branch. 25X1 The negotiated fixed price for the effort is $15,000. 25X1 j. On 11 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, held a pre-bid conference for Invitation for Bids (the Renovation of 4G corridor in the Original Headquarters Building). Representatives from five of the twelve companies solicited participated in the meeting and the jobsite visit. On 11 August 1988, Agency Constracts Group, Office of Logistics, held a pre-bid conference for Invitation for Bids (the Installation of the D-Vault Primary Electrical Distribution System in the Original Headquarters Building). Representatives from two of the ten companies solicited participated in the meeting and jobsite visit. This project is part of the Headquarters Backfill Program to renovate the Original Headquarters Building. 1. On 11 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, issued Invitation for Bids for the Installation of Conduit and Power to Support a Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) System. The cameras will be installed at various exterior locations around the Compound. The work is being acc7mplished for the Office of Security. m. On 12 August 1988, Agency Contracts Group, Office of C, Logistics, held a pre-bid site visit for Invitations for Bids (IFB) (Cafeteria Expansion - Phases II and III). Representatives from five's, of the ten companies that received the IFB visited the site. The bids are due 1 September 1988. (The estimated price range for each contract (two will be awarded) is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. o. Agency Contracts Group, Office of Logistics, completed a requirement to have four of the 9700 Xerox Laser Printing Systems upgraded to 9790 Laser Printing Systems for the Office of Information V/// Technology. These upgrades will increase printing power by 25% and offer faster processing, increased memory, increased storage, easy user interface, and functional compatibility with existing machinery.
