This was held at a stadium in Tehran during the "Karbala'-3" exercise. Nicosia Bureau had monitored this report using its newly installed Ku-band satellite ant and has sent the tape via air courier to satisfy the request. + MOSCOW WORLD SERVICE BROADCAST TO U.S. - Since 6 October, Key West Bureau has monitored a relay of Moscow Radio's English-language world service on weekdays at 1700-1900 EDT on frequency 1040 Khz, which is used by many U.S. broadcasters. This is the same mediumwave frequency on which Moscow has relayed its North American Service at 0800-1800 EDT on Sundays and alternate Saturdays since 31 May. A high-level Soviet media official has acknowledged U.S. complaints over the use of the frequency but noted that the U.S. used similar transmitters near the USSR.
