SUPERSEDES: FBIS Collection Requirement No 83-02: Soviet Naval Forces
1. This is the updated National HUMINT Collection Plan on Soviet
Naval Forces which includes numerous collection objectives for which
FBIS is responsible. The Intelligence Community and FBIS have determined
that FBIS can respond fully to these objectives from sources available
to you. FBIS performance will be evaluated on your selection and
processing for these requirements. Components should read page 4 for
the Community's assessment of our past performance ranges from
"invaluable" to "concern" over publication delays.
2. An "Official Use Only" version is included for use by nonstaff
employees in the field and by JPRS contractors:
3. For easier field use, Liaison has marked the FOUO version to
show which objectives are FBIS' responsibility. There is also an
unclassified list of key personalities for monitor and contractor
reference. The field does not need to keep thi memorandum or the
classified version of the collection plan.

Soviet Naval Forces are designated FBIS Collection Requirement No 87-17.
This supersedes No 83-02 which should be destroyed. Your cowmen
this collection plan are needed to improve this tasking system.
