Dear Jerry:
I am pleased to extend my best wishes to you and your wife Mary as
you prepare to retire after more than 31 years of Government service,
27 of them with FBIS. I think you can look back with great pride at
the role you have played in the continued successful accomplishment of
the FBIS mission.
Your many years of service, at a number of our field bureaus and
in Headquarters, have been marked by impressive dedication and a
willingness to do whatever was necessary to get the job done. On
numerous occasions, you have willingly volunteered to take on
additional tasks or to travel to a field bureau or unit to assist with
a technical project. Your work in support of our field operations has
been widely praised throughout the years, especially the spirit of
cooperation and good humor with which you have dealt with others. The
contribution of both you and your wife to the social life of the
bureaus at which you have served will be warmly remembered by all those
who have had the pleasure to work with you.
I am sure I speak for your many friends and colleagues in FBIS in
saying sincerely that you will be missed, both professionally and
personally. I know everyone joins me in wishing you many happy and
fruitful years of retirement.
