Mr. Jim whittinghill
Deputy Chief of Staff
Minority Leader of the Senate
Dear Mr. Whittinghill,
We appreciate all your help on the drug bill
to date.
Attached is a copy of subsection (d) of Section
2989 of the Senate bill with the modification I
discussed with Al Lehn and to which I understand the
Senate Intelligence Committee had no objection. I
just wanted to make sure it was in the final bill a
I could not find it in either the "leadership amend-
ment" (Congressional Record, October 14, 1988,
pp. S15170-16207) or the annotated copy of the bill
