SUBJECT: Attached MFR
Aside from the real need to assist the HPSCI as
requested, the need exists to show that the SIG/IG
system is viable.
The tasking for support of this request properly
belongs to the IG/CM(P) and appropriate committees
therein, with support from the IG/CM(T) and IG/CI
as necessary.
A formal request to the IG/CM(P) Chairman appears
to be in`order to that effect. Representation from
FBI, CIA, DoD, State, and others as necessary (i.e.,
ISOO) will ensure satisfaction to the House, establish
a sense of participation to the Intelligence Com-
munity, and accomplish a much needed task.
Suggest you may wish to discuss this with
when he returns from leave next week (24 August).
