PRELIMINARY ELINT FL PORT
Mission A-2010
1. Reference is made to page-sire overlay SC/OIa18-56 and
its accompanying base map. The cm-ibination of the map and the
overlay depicts the flight track of Mission A-2014 and shows time
and selected check and turning points.
2. All statements in this report which pertain to TOKEN are
based upon such observations as could be made by two analysts
separately monitoring the two information channels while makin
a copy of the tape. The k'P.IFF mentioned in paragraph 4 (below)
was measured.
39 Continuous TOKEN activity started in the vicinity of
LEIPZIG and continued through KRAKOW, CLUJ, CONSTANTA, and back
to BUCHAPEST. Densities of up to five simultaneous TOKEN signals
were encountered. TO1ED7 activity on the outbound leg was relatively
light (one to two TOKENS) but was continuous to a point west of !4U ICR.
bo The only occurrence of a k'1IFF signal was in the vicinity
of BRASOV where one radar of this type locked-on for one minute and
sixteen seconds (1 min., 16 sec).
5. There were no unidentified signals intercepted during the
penetration phase of this mission. Several unidentified signals
(yet to be measured) were intercepted in Western Germany.
