SUBJECT: Request to Lecture at Portland State University,
Lewis and Clark College and the University of Oregon
on 21-25 May 1984
1. I request permission and sponsorship to speak on
"Yugoslav Commu ism Today." The attached letter is the
invitation from at Portland State STAT
University tor me to address his students, as well as students at
Lewis and Clark College and the University of Oregon.
2. I shall make oral presentations in an informal setting,
it approved. I.will not be speaking from a written prepared
text.
3. None of my remarks will be drawn from classified
material.
4. I will be identified as an AyencSTAT
employee, but will make the standard disclaimer indicating that
the views expressed are my own and not necessarily those of the
Ayency or the U.S. government.
5. These talks will give me an opportunity to exchange
ideas in developments in Yugoslavia with members of the academic
community. In the process, I hope to be able to assist the
Agency's recruiting effort at these three university campu
