SUBJECT Central Intelligence Agency Second and Third
Quarter FY 1984 External Analysis Research
Program
1. The attached list is of the CIA/DDI external analysis
research projects approved for the second and third quarters of
FY 1984. Those listed under our Office of Scientific and Weapons
Research are a mix of both new and continuing projects. However,
those projects listed for other DDI offices are in most cases new
research efforts.
2. In order to more accurately reflect the extent of our
regional research program, we have included projects which do not
reach the minimum level of effort--one-half manyear--which has
been established. We are also providing a point of contact and
telephone extension for each project. (Our Office of Soviet
Analysis has a telephone prefix of vice the more 25X1
recognized 25X1
