SUBJECT: Request Permission to Participate as Symposium
Discussant
1. I request permission to participate as a discussant at-
the "Soviet Space Doctrine Symposium" sponsored by the Futures
Group, Glastonbury, Connecticut, 2 May 1984. The symposium is in
support of a contract issued by OSWR to the Futures Group for a
study of Soviet space doctrine and operations.
2. The symposium will be held at the Secret level.
3. My participation in the symposium has been solicited by
OSWR and will provide me with an opportunity to become familiar
with the project and an opportunity to help direct the portions
of the study that involve the political and foreign policy
aspects of Soviet space policy. To my knowledge, all
participants in the symposium will have Secret clearances.
4. I will be identified at the
symposium as an analyst for CIA.
