Background
The IC Staff is orchestrating this visit. spent
part of this week with General Galvin and has prepared the background
paper at TAB A. Gen. Galvin will be addressing an OGI conference on
military geography while he is here.
The visit is a courtesy call combining issues from Galvin's old
assignment as Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Southern Command and his new
one as SACEUR. Calvin will be accompanied by Maj. Gen. Gene Fischer, his
new deputy. have contributed

Background: General Jack Galvin, C~nder in Chief, United States Southern
Cou and, will meet with you Monday, 9 March. He desires a one-on-one session
but will bring along Maj Gen Eugene Fischer, his new Deputy, for you to meet.
Maj Gen Fischer will serve as the transition between CINCs upon General
Galvin's departure for Mons, where he will serve as Supreme Allied Commander,
Europe (SACEUR). Prior to his reassignment, General Galvin will want to meet
with Judge Mobster.
Discussion Points: The following areas will be discussed by General Galvin.
Except for the last item, they pertain to an update of his June 1985 .
