+ FBIS has officially closed its field bureau in Bahrain.
Collection operations ceased on 30 July after nearly 7 years. Some
residual administrative activity ted with the closing will
continue for the next few weeks.

original-language version of a 28 July article in the Soviet paper
IZVESTIYA describing in detail the activities including the use of
