Pursuant to your request the following information is provided relevant to the subject company. 2. Cooperation from the Peterson Company employees has been less than satisfactory in the areas of safety, and erratic site access by the twelve badged personnel using personal vehicles under the guise of hauling materials onto the construction site. 3. A request for seven Peterson employees to work overtime on Saturday, 4 May 1985 caused a review of the site access and work habits of the badged Peterson Company employees. The requested over- time was denied and more importantly it was discovered that the erratic site access was the result of the Peterson employees using an on site STAT storage trailer as a staging area for other work in the McLean area. On the 2nd and 3rd of May Peterson employees were advised to cease such action, and were instructed to so advise their superintendant. On Friday, 3 May at 1500 hours badge #611 entered the compound under the guise of picking up their pay checks when in fact they had been working off site all day and only entered to store materials in the trailer. Upon leaving they were advised once again not to use this site as a staging area for other jobs. A verbal exchange took place with the Chief, Security Staff. The Peterson Company employees claimed they needed access to the materials stored in 55 gallon drums, on site. They were advised not to return to the site for work unless their superintendant was with them. Later the same day Mike Klosky, the George H. Hyman Construction Company site superintendant stated that the Peterson superintendant would be on site Monday morning, May 6 to resolve any problems. STAT 4. At 0810 hours 6 May 1985 badge #611, attempted to enter the site and was refused admittance due to the failure of the Peterson Company superintendant to show up. On Tuesday morning, at 0730 hours William Welty, badge #119, the Peterson Company superintendant appeared at the construction gate where he was held until Mike Klosky could arrive for a meeting. After Mr. Klosky spoke with Mr. Welty the Chief, Security Staff advised Mr. Welty that staging for all jobs except the work on the Agency site would cease immediately. Mr. Welty agreed and stated he would move the trailer to another job. The trailer is yet to be moved and on 22 May badge 369, attempted to off STAT load, on site, materials from a Roadway Delivery truck under a manifest stating Peterson and OMNI (OMNI is the non-union arm of the George H. Hyman Construction Company). The truck was off-loaded outside the Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2010/06/14: CIA-RDP89-00244RO01102660037-1 Sanitized Copy Approved for Release 2010/06/14: CIA-RDP89-00244RO01102660037-1 ! +W construction gate into personal vehicle which he in turn STAT parked in the construction vehicle parking lot before returning to work inside the site. 5.
