Thank you for your letter of May 12, 1983, concerning the Central
Intelligence Agency headquarters consolidation and the Old Chain Bridge Road
intersection with Georgetown Pike. We have advised the full Commission and
CIA of your concern regarding the project and your request for an
opportunity to review plans for road improvements in conjunction with the
project.
The CIA staff has reiterated to our staff in recent discussions that it
remains fully committed. to coordinating with affected organizations in the
surrounding community on plans for the off--site road improvements. You will
also have an opportunity to comment and make recommendations to the
Commission during its review of plans for the project.
We appreciate your comments on this project. If you have concerns regarding
the coordination of the project plans during the coming months, please
contact Robert Gresham of our staff, on 724-0191.
