Progress Reports on Tasks Assigned by the Senior Management: a. G the formal letter required to complete the submission package for the offsite road program v, acarried to the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC).o'1A was s gned jointly by the General Services Administration and the Agency, and it requested that NCPC take action at its 4 December 14" meeting on the Agency's Routes 123/193 offsite road program . NCPC annears to be satisfied with the documents Building Construction Budget. Y Sr c. Effective 13 November, the New Building Project Office (NBPO), L, Site Security Staff began opening the Turkey Run Access Road construction gate at 0600 rather than 0630 hours. The action which made release of this generator possible was the successful load test of four of the new gas turbine generators. b. The Director, Near Eastern and South Asian Analysis, Directorate of Intelligence, and eight staff members toured the New Headauartprs ng on 17 November. No significant issues were raised. c. New Building Project Office (NBPO), OL, presented Office of Information Technology (OIT) requirements for early occupancy for prewiring and installation to the Security Configuration Control Committee on 14 November. This was the first such meeting in an effort to standardize and coordinate security requirements for new construction projects. As a follow on to this meeting, the board will tour the New Headquarters d. New Building Project Office (NBPO), OL, met with Deputy Chief, Printing and Photography Division and the Chief Planner, Printing and Photography Division, to review the floor plans for the new Job Planning Office in the New Headquarters Building first floor atrium area. e. New Building Projec ice (NBPO), OL, gave a slide presentation to t e Fine Arts Commission works STAT of two professional sculptors The Ito sculpture samples were submitt to NBPU by the employees some time ago, with the understanding that they would be considered when the construction STAT flo STAT status reached a point where fine arts planning should be initiated. Both sculptors work in a variety of mediums (wood, stone, metal), and had an interesting selection of contemporary pieces. 3. Upcoming Events: a. Preparations are underway for a major paving effort in the mpound. The Bid Package 4 contractor hopes to pave the last section of th Lot, the roadways. and the VIP Parking Lot during 20-22 November. I continue to press the GSA Project Manager for more meaningful information regarding construction schedules and change orders.
