I recently visited the SPOT Image Corp. headquarters in
Reston, Virginia, to--d iscuss our future acquisition of SPOT data
from the newly launched French satellite, SPOT. We have signed a
contract with SPOT Image Corp. (of America) to purchase
data/imagery for our Qwn use, and as soon as the resale agreements
are ready to be signed, we shall sign with SPOT Image. SPOT Image
Corp. is the sole distributor of data collected worldwide for-
customers in the United States. Currently, we hold an agreement
with EOSAT Corp. (f9jrdsecuring Landsat data/imagery).
It occurred to us,that your agency will undoubtedly be
interested in the ne~v~k0- and 20-meter SPOT imagery and computer
tapes. Satellite Hydrology Associates has acted as purchasing
agents for various federal agencies, and for private firms as
well, in purchasing satellite data for environmental, disaster,
and other uses. Wei-are thoroughly knowledgeable in data ordering,
selection, quality,,,and processing.
Our offices are conveniently located in nearby Vienna,
Virginia, about halfway between SPOT headquarters and your
headquarters. We would be pleased to act as a procurement company
for you or to consult,-in the remote sensing field if you should
require such services.
