1. Reference requested OIT support to OP/Employment in connection with
the model being developed by OD&E. In this connection, the following is
submitted:
2. OIT already has and will continue to supply information and
assistance in making CAPS data available to OD&E. The contact for this
assistance is
3. OIT will identify someone to particiDate in the design review of the
OD&E model. The contact for this support is
4. It is inappropriate for OIT to assume maintenance responsibility for
the OD&E developed model inasmuch as the Office was not involved in the
systems analysis for the project nor the selection of tools and
methodologies. My recommendation on maintenance is that OIT not be involved.
However, this is a negotiable item and it may be just as useful to keep an
open position and discuss this with OD&E as we go along and see how much work
is really involved. Oftentimes it is better to have a pro-active stance on
which we can always scale back if necessary.
