due to shifting analytical priorities and budget cuts,
the office with which you've been working does not plan
to renew its contract when it expires next month. Other
offices also appear to have no interest at this time.

from your organization.

SUBJECT: Program on Information Resources Policy
OGI currently has a contract with this group which is scheduled to end
later this month. does work in the "information policy" area
-- mainly research, with most of the work being related to US efforts
and policy in this arena.
OGI was contacted byl and informed them that they did not plan
to renew the contract; hence is trying a backdoor approach to
have funding continued without interruption.
The decision not to continue funding this effort by OGI results from
OGI's no longer doing any work in this area, as well as a management
decision that in an era of budget cuts the monies could better be spent
on higher priority intelligence issues
