I have been advised of the reassignment of Lt. Richard A. Rita, USCG,
from the Navy Operational Intelligence Center (NOIC) to the Coast Guard
Academy. On this occasion I would like to express appreciation for the
excellent cooperation and support he has provided to the Intelligence
Community Staff, Committee on Imagery Requirements and Exploitation (COMIREX).
While assigned as Coast Guard Liaison Officer to the NOIC, Lt. Rita
became involved with the COMIREX Staff in applying imagery assets against a
subject of high national interest. In the course of this activity, Lt.-Rita
showed enthusiasm and initiative and presented himself very well during
numerous contacts with Senior representatives of the Intelligence Community
and the Office of the Vice President. His performance reflected very
creditably upon himself and the United States Coast Guard. Please extend my
appreciation to him on behalf of the Intelligence Community Staff.
