Approved For Release 2007/10/23: CIA-RDP88B00553R000100180026-1 A L 2 February 1976 ESTABLISHMENT OF ORD MANAGEMENT ADVISORY GROUP 1. In order that the mid- and junior-level personnel may participate in the personnel management system of ORD, the Director of Research and Development has established a Manage- ment Advisory Group (ORD/MAG) to identify, study, and evaluate issues or problems affecting ORD management. This is to be effective as of 2 February 1976. The establishment of such a group will provide an additional channel of communication between employees and ORD senior management by their solicit- ing the views, opinions and suggestions of ORD employees on office management matters. 2. The ORD/MAG (composed of five ORD R careerists) representation will be recommended by the ORD Career Panel and appointed by the D/ORD for a one-year term. However, to insure continuity, three members of the first set of appointees will serve only for a six-month period. The ORD/MAG chairpersons will be selected by the MAG and will serve for periods of six months. To the extent possible, the composition of MAG will be such as to provide an across-the-board representation of ORD employees. The MAG will meet at the direction of the chair- person but not less than once a month. Assistance and/or clerical support will be provided by the MS/ORD. 3. In addition to soliciting views and opinions of ORD employees for CSP review and consideration, the MAG will be given specific assignments from time to time for research and study by the Panel. The chairperson for MAG will be scheduled to discuss such matters of interest with the ORD Career Panel at their regular monthly panel meetings. Recommendations which appear to have merit will be presented to the D/ORD in the form of a written report submitted through the ORD Career Service Panel. It should be noted that although all recommendations will be given consideration by the CSP, the Management Advisory Group has no technical, command, or administrative authority. Donaid L.
