1. On 26 February 1985 at 1430 hours in room H-144, The

5. The briefing was the same as that given by
Mr. Vickers and Mr. Helgerson to the House Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence staff on 25 February 1985. Please
see Memorandum for the Record, that date, by
The Committee, which had already sat through the
DCI worldwide briefing of some five hours, appeared tired,
and questioning was not particularly vigorous. Refer to the
transcript for details on the questioning. The Committee
was again assured by the briefers that no, repeat no,
support was being given by the Agency and
that we were in complete compliance with the intent of
Congress.
