Intelligence Agency in "Vanished," a four'hour television
movie that will begin production in Washington, D.C., on

Fletcher Knebel's novel about the
disappearance of a top presi-
dential aide. "Vanished" will be
produced by Universal-TV for
telecasting next March by NBC
in two two-hour installments.
. Universal is still trying to ob-
tain Robert Young, who portrays
Marcus Welby, 1i.D., on ABC-TV,
to play the role of a conniving
senator on "Vanished." "The
character of the senator is com-
pletely different from the Marcus
' W e l b y image," a Universal
spokesman said. -
Tricia Nixon's personal tour of
some of the family living quarters
in the White House, which was
televised last season, will be re-
peated on CBS-TV's 60 minutes
on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 10 p.rri.

is coming to Hollywood to tape

Art Carney will portray several;
comedy characters, including Ed
Norton, sewer worker, when lie
makes a guest appearance on the
seasonal premiere of Rowan and
Martin's Laugh-In Sept. 14 over
NBC. Michael Campus, a
former CBS-TV program execu-
tive, has been hired by Metro-
media Producers Corp. to develop
a series titled The interview. It
will involve interviews with his-
torical figures enacted by big-
name performers.
"Just Friends," a musical var-
iety special starring Pat Paulsen
and others, will be televised by
ABC on Sunday, Sept. 13, from
