Approved For Release 2009/08/10: CIA-RDP88-01350R000200760017-3 Foreign Documents Division SP-1312 5 December 1966 PAPER CONNECTS KENNEDY ASSASINATION WITH CIA -- Athens, I Avgi, 20 Nov 66 [TEe Con,mtmist-oriented Athens daily newspaper I Avg i.,_ taking advantage of the controversy swirling around the Warren Commission lRe;-)ort, carried an article on the assasination titled "Was There a Second Assasin? The Pootsters of Oswald and Ruby Lead to the Door of CIA." Accompanying the half-rage report, written by the paper's Now York correspondent Khristos Nikolopoulos, was the photograph showing Oswa.ld's murder by Ruby. The writer cites the Esouire n.agaz ine article and rhotogra.phs on the assasination, t ,e artifcle in the Columbia University Legal Review by Paul Reiz (approxima- tion from Creek), the Edward Epstein book Innuest, Rush to Judgment by ?Mark Lane, Harold Wcisherg's ['dhitewash, The Second Oswald by Richard Popkin, and the Oswald A?fai~ y Leo Sauvage of J,(, Ngaro, in his report. Statements by Weisberg; in his book in which re charges that "Oswald was the agent of some US secret service and was used by it either as the assasin or as an 'alibi'" as well as what the writer claims were an "abundance of data," are used as a basis for the sole tie-in to CIA. The writer concludes that Oswald was a "trotskyite," by his "own admission," and therefore an enemy of the USSR who "worked closely with various agents who cooperated with anti-Castro Cubans in the US."] HCD review completed MORI/CDF Approved For Release 2009/08/10: CIA-RDP88-01350R000200760017-3
