Enclosed is the final Program. (We added Dr. Powell on
"Red China's Military Capability" and extended the Panels
that dealt with NATO and Soviet ambitions for "techno-
logical surprise." General Alfred Gruenther, Admiral
Arleigh Burke, Dr. Henry Kissinger and Ambassador Ted
Achilles conducted a spirited Panel on these topics.)
Altogether, we had 410 participants from defense industry,
the War Colleges and Service Academies, trade associations,
political science faculties, international business, the
Pentagon and the world of public affairs.
We plan now to schedule half-day National Security
Briefings at conventions of various groups, for manage-
ment and on campus.
