No. DISTRIBUTION II t.ddunbia Is Told Of Clul, percents NEW YORK (AP) -- Columbia University said yesterday it has been informed by the CIA it was involved in "mind control" research in the 1950s and is launching an investiga- tion into which staff members took part in the project. A university spokesman said any, such projects were initiated and sponsored by the CIA, and the uni- versity had no prior knowledge that the intelligence agency was working on "mind control. The CIA has disclosed that some 80 institutions were used for the experi- ments into behavior-altering drugs, including LSD, over a period of at `least two decades. From today's Star.
