UPI 'From Chile
Santiago, Chile (Reuter)-
President Salvador Allende last
night. ordered the American
news agency United Press Inter-
national to close its offices in
Chile.
The Marxist president said be
had decided to close the agency
because of various news stories
it issued from abroad in recent
weeks.
lie made no criticism of the
agency's operations inside Chile,
where it employs about 15
journallsts.
