Thank you for the courtesy and the hospitality
that you and your associates offered to Alvin Josephy and
myself on Monday. As a result of that meeting I feel far
more confident that we can perform a. service that is
beneficial to our respective organizations and which
hopefully will result in the retelling of an episode that
served our country well. You will be hearing from Alvin
in the near future as to his recommendation for an author
on the Cuban Missile crisis and related events which
proceeded it.
As I've stated to you, I am hopeful that there
will be other stories that we can collaborate on in
the future.
Please accept my'offer to visit us at our
