Request for Bid Solicitation for A Remote
Data Terminal (RDT)

1. The Remote Data Terminal, functionally
specified in Attachment C, will be installed in
an OSO field site to provide an automated data
terminal and handling capability. Principally,
the operation of the field site is dependent upon
a communication capability to transmit and receive
information in real-time error-free mode. The
implemented RDT will provide the required capability
and will reduce maintenance and support costs as
a result of equipment commonality with on-site
installed equipment.
2. It is requested that action be taken to
solicit a technical proposal and a firm fixed price
quotation for the RDT from each of the vendors
listed in Attachment A. The association of the
vendors with the Agency is classified Confidential.
Therefore, ontract should be
considered for this procurement.
3. All proposals received as a result of the
solicitation are to be evaluated by Communications
Engineering prior to award of contract. The
evaluation procedures, which will be used to
determine the most technically qualified vendor,
are outlined in Attachment b, Specific Instructions.

The vendor's proposal should be received on or before

contract award will occur on or before 30 June 1977.
