SUBJECT: Afghanistan Clandestine Radio
1. For your information, we have been covering broadcasts from
a clandestine broadcaster calling itself the "Voice of Afghanistan."
Broadcasts are in Dari, Pashto and Uzbek and are being observed on a
shortwave frequency of 3245 kHz.
2. Programming so far has been hostile to the Government of
Afghanistan and to Soviet involvement in Afghanistan. FBIS is
assuming no Agency involvement in this broadcaster.
