SUBJECT: Transition ERB Meeting Report
1. The Transition Engineering Review Board was held on 4 September
1987 at 1330. See Attachment A for a list of attendees. See Attachment B
for the Agenda.
2. M. Tanigawa opened the meeting and reviewed the critical DRs.
See Attachment C for a description of DRs.
a. CO-DR-E-036-87, VAX/ATEX Link Error This DR
currently has a work around in place. LEC is working on a permanent
solution. The T-ERB will review 17 September.
b. CO-DR-E-038-87, Outgoing AUTODIN Messages Formatted
Incorrectly. This DR is to be closed. A quad left at the end of
SES-166-87

c. BU-DR-E-046-87, VAX Operator. Messages On WSS
Circuit. This DR requires a procedural fix. G. Gutendorf
and J. Wisor have been assigned an action to, instruct the VAX
operator not to insert messages on WSS. DR is closed.
d. HU DR E-067 87, Garbled Incoming Reuter Press
Messages. The. Reuter traffic has been normal since 31
August. This DR is closed and will be filed for reference should
this problem re-occur.

3. The new DRs were reviewed for comment.
a. CO-DR-E-039-87, Incorrect Daily Statistics.
This DR requires further investigation. LEC is performing a T/I.
The T-ERB will review this DR 24 September.
b. CO-DR-E-040-87, First Character Drop.
This DR re uires_._further investigation. The problem is not
consistently occuringn outgoing validation. LEC is to resolve.
The T-ERB wiTTrevi ew his DR 24 September.
c. HU DR E-055-87, WSS Chief, Deputy Programmable
Keys. Resolution of this DR is in process. LEC is working to
resolve. The solution is to be in place by 14 September.
4. The following DRs in process were reviewed for update.
a. BU-DR-E-042-87, Delete Nev Wss "SLOT2-WS1"
Queue. The resolution of this DR is in togress. The solution will
be in place at the first available opportunity. This DR is still
open.
b. HU DR E-043-87, WSS Eds Must Log Off On GMT Day
Changeover. This DR appears to be identical to the
baseline procedures. B. Pratt will verify the actual procedure. The
DR will be reviewed for update 10 September.
c. HU DR E-047-87, ATEX Users "CRUNCH" WSS Items
In Select Queue. This. DR does not identify a problem. The Select
Queue is operating correctly. A procedural error occured. This DR
is closed. 0C-C0rr,
d. HU DR E-048 -87, Wire Message CLOSING The
GMT Day. This problem appears to be resolved. The DR
is closed and will be documented should the discrepancy re-occur.

5. The following RFC was reviewed for update. See ATTACHMENT D for
a description of the RFCs.
a . cORFC E-002 -87 , AFP & REUTER Printers for WSS.
This RFC was formerly tracked as HU-RFC-E-021-87 but, is more
appropriately a CO RFC. The investi ation of the printer for the
Wire and AG is in progress. is to report the results to
the 4 September morning staff meeting. This RFC will be updated 10
September.
6. The Action Items assigned at the 28 August T-ERB were reviewed.
See Attachment E for the list of Action Items reviewed and generated
during this meeting.
7. Open Discussion included 2 walk-on DRs.
a. CO-DR-E-041-87, Signal Level Loss By Some WSS.
This DR is being reviewed. Appropriate personnel are to review to
discuss alternative proposed solutions.
b. HU DR E-069-87, Wire Service Supershift and Next
Page Keys Problems. The occuran-c' of this problem is
inconsistent. B. Pratt will have-ATEX-personnel investigate.
c. The following DRs and RFC were renumbered for accuracy.
HU-DR-E-066-87 is now CO-DR-E-038-87
HU-DR-E-068-87.is now CO-DR-E-039-87
HU-DR-E-069-87 is now CO-DR-E-040-87
HU-RFC-E-021-87 is not CO-RFC-E-002-87
