2S12 Self-Propelled
Mortar (S)
Description This model depicts the 120-mm self-propelled mortar 2S12. This is a
working model which may be displayed in either the travel mode or the fir-
ing mode. The model was created in response to Community interest in the
2S12. The 2S12 self-propelled mortar may be intended to replace the towed
120-mm mortar now in use. (S/WN)
This model has been prepared on the basis of detailed analysis and
specifications provided by the Tactical Forces Division, Imagery Exploitation
Group, NPIC. The model components have been produced to scale in ac-
cordance with photogrammetrically derived values. Comments and queries
regarding this model may be directed to

Requests for Loan This model may be used as a visual aid for briefing or for aiding the ana-
lyst in the study of this particular target. The model is available on short-
term loan from NPIC to authorized personnel. Requests for loan should be
directed to the Briefing Support Unit, Support Branch, Training Division,
Support Group, NPIC, Room, 6C790,
