1. I plan to nave lunch next Tuesday with Rick Whittle, foreign
correspondent for the Dallas Morning News. Rick and I are old friends from
graduate school days; our meeting will be purely personal.
2. I have already told Rick that I cannot talk politics, however
innocently, and that our get-together must not even Qive the impression of a
reportorial meeting. We will go Dutch.
3. I cannot imagine there being any objection to this contact, but please
let me know~if you see a problem.
